The Beaver Movie Review :

The Beaver tells the story of Walter Black (Mel Gibson), a man who has lost his way in life and in an extreme case of depression. His wife (Jodie Foster) Meredith told him to leave and his oldest son, Porter (Anton Yelchin) hates him. Just as he was about to be stopped there, Walter proposes friendship with a doll called The Beaver, full control over the life of Walter takes. Beaver constantly associated with Walter, he is able to redeem himself at work and with his wife and youngest son. It is not long to live life by Walter Beaver catches to make his life worse than ever. It is up to Walter to take his life or lose everything he worked his whole life and he will live forever, like the beaver.

"The Beaver" is an extremely dark and depressing film. As the film goes on, you really see the depth of the depression is Walter, and he needs serious help. Man lives his life by a stuffed beaver! It is truly a unique and interesting about depression, which has never seen before. The subplot that focuses is to Anton Yelchin's interesting and kind of played hand in hand with the same situation to do the Walter had.

Mel Gibson gives a strong performance in this dark film. It's something you have never seen done, and it is very disturbing to see, describe this character. It is the unique I've seen depression and now Gibson nails it. Jodie Foster is good as the devoted wife and gives an emotional performance. One can say that Meredith cares deeply back to Walter and at nothing to be with him. Anton Yelchin gives the best performance of his career in this film. He is a child who hates his father, how he lives his life by others. It is concentrated so as to hate his father that he does not realize that he to live his own life. That is, until Jennifer Lawerence Norah character arrives and helps them find it. The action in this movie is just beautiful with all the players with some of the best performances of her career.

While I was the years of filmmaking and a depression and everyone seems to admire, there were some elements of the film was not well with me. The first is, why on earth does anyone Walter interned in a mental institution? About 30 minutes I could not suspend belief that a company would allow CEO to lead a company through a puppet. It was simply not plausible. I also do not see how Meredith has not a more active role in the Walter accepted. There is a scene where Meredith and Walter go to dinner and Meredith says she wants to leave Walter Beaver. This scene is very disturbing, because it shows how the Beavers took over. In this phase, however, why not get Meredith to the consultation is just incredible. He has obviously lost his mind at this point. I just do not know these two factors of the film. It is not really like all the time they come to light, speak such leaders taken care of.

Despite these small setbacks, I really enjoyed the movie. I wish he was in one of two floors. Walter was living the life of Depression aka The Beaver and Porter was his life by about others. These two stories were the show, as Walter and Porter were similar and how Meredith and Norah alike. It was a very unique way of seeing life living for others or other things, but it worked wonderfully. What I like best about the movie was in the last 30 minutes. The entire third act was truly remarkable, and all my initial disgust obscured in the movie regarding an agreement that is not obliged Walter. It was a really powerful and scary, because the side effects of depression and that showed how deep was really into depression Walter. I do not want to give away something, but I'll let you know that something is happening, Walter in the last 30 minutes that really impact their lives. He brings the whole tone of the film in a state of very dark and depressing, but I think it was an important element of the film. This film would not designed to be so good, so it was not, how deeply he had in the last 30 minutes.

Ultimately, "The Beaver" is certainly not a film for everyone. If you expect a comedy, I warn you now that you should stay away. This is not a comedy, and it is not even a comedy. Although it has some light moments here and there, it's probably one of the darkest films I usually met for some time. I do not know how this is an obvious reason for Mel Gibson, but also because of the small niche market for this film. He obviously has great performances, good direction and a story written well, but is not the topic of what most people want to see. I think it's great to see a movie so real and ballsy as this but I also know that this is not what sells tickets. I'm curious to see how that when it comes out. I personally think this is a must and recommend those who are in serious dramas put it on your list. It is truly a unique view of depression as well as a unique piece of cinema.
