Thor Movie Review :
I saw last night at a preview in London. I prayed that Kenneth Branagh would learn from its mistakes in dealing with a big budget film, namely its Frankenstein. Fortunately, I am glad that he has learned from those mistakes. Obviously this is not Henry V, that is just pure popcorn entertainment, but a very nice introduction to Thor on the big screen. Chris Hemsworth played the game with a lot of energy, charisma and I must admit, that sounds good from the perspective of the guy angry. Anthony Hopkins has much need the presence of heavy weights such as Odin, but it's a role he has played a hundred times, but honestly I do not get tired, so I do not complain. In a period of many years of playing many different roles of brilliant psychotic heroin daring, Natalie Portman plays the sweet girl this time, the scientists determined for the strange guy is in a good way. Nothing too challenging for one of them, but they give an aura around it reassuring. The visuals were spectacular, especially the sweeping canvas of Asgard. The action scenes were good, although it could be done better with less use of quick change cutting style that is too often the norm in the action movies today.
There are a lot of humor when Thor is on Earth, but not a dismissal, so there is an appropriate contrast in a serious tone with everything set in Asgard. Even if the story was somewhat predictable, it was still riveting.
For those like me is concerned, as Thor is part of the Marvel universe created with the movie Iron Man was linked not worry. It's just another thing that Branagh and crew did very well. We can now in full the next Avengers, where God, a man transformed into a giant green beast, and a man in a suit Hi Tech love flying the same image can share. So all be good.
And be sure to stay until the end credit scenes. If you do not know this before, I invite you to the previous films ("Iron Man 1 & 2, Incredible Hulk) back and watch the end credit sequence, if you do not already have it. They tell a story separate component that to some upcoming Marvel film will lead. This is the end credit sequence of Thor is still the most fascinating because it is actually a large property development in the task history) and it was the longest string of bloody end credit that I have ever have seen in a movie! One last thing, was the film I saw, 3D, and once again it is practically ruined almost all the action scenes for me. In non-action scenes, it was totally unnecessary and just the film much darker.
