We saw a screening of this film earlier this week and I must say, it was funnier than we thought it would be. For those of you that the film "Strange Wilderness" (where Steve Zahn and his crew go hunting, while in the competition for the first Big Foot movie) did you love this film. With Jack Black, Owen Wilson and Steve Martin. All three (as "birders" going to find the most bird species have been found. I saw the premiere of "Bernie" last night at the Film Festival of Los Angeles. I must admit, after seeing the execution of Jack Black in "1 year", "Gulliver's Travels" and "Kung Fu Panda," I began to hope ever of the "School of Rock" guy lose I fell in with. When I heard Richard Linklater (School of Rock) and Jack Black have came back, I felt a glimmer of hope. I am happy to announce I was not disappointed last night! Jack Black is one of the best performances of his career in "Bernie". Shirley MacLaine was the icing on the cake and Matthew McConaughey was the icing on the cake. I loved this movie! "Bernie" is based on the true story of Bernie Tiede's funeral assistant and usually do good, who confessed the killing Marjorie Nugent, a lady very rich and wicked old woman. Bernie was a bit eccentric, but loved by his entire congregation in Carthage, Texas. Jack Black nails this performance. It really shows what he can, as an actor. It was such a pleasure to look at the Bernie Tiede. The great moments of slapstick, and then some twisted, dark moments, a look at the spiral Bernie psyche. Shirley MacLaine catch that Marjorie Nugent, who tried as an agent, bitter woman, without friends and family to sue for his money was known. You can not go wrong with Shirley MacLaine -... it's just great chemistry between the black and MacLaine was fantastic I really enjoyed watching them on screen together even at the premiere last night they had a very good chemistry in person. It seems they really enjoyed this film together. Matthew McConaughey was great as Elder Danny Buck Davidson has not shown the character to be a distance for him, but s "in nursing - it was fantastic, I do not know if it is to be released as a result of, but I will recommend to my friends when it comes cinemas!.
