In these days when Harrison Ford is involved in a movie, you know, it will be much more dark and growling. They have become the hallmark of his playing style in his later years. It does not matter the genre, Ford will scowl. And now two hours of operation of Cowboys and Aliens, Ford grumpy rarely, if ever leaves her face. But Ford is in the last decade. However, you must not expect that Daniel Craig to try a full movie to spend getting grumpy-Ford, and that's Cowboys and Aliens director Jon Favreau has apparently asked him to do. Two actors dark, a script that is something entertaining to can (credited to five writers are with the script) with the formation of base-do, find, and effects, which was not in the summer of 2011 to more important studio albums - all this adds up to be a disappointing loss the opportunity to have fun exploring an area not ventured so often in movies.
What is even more disappointing is how the scenario to play it safe. It's a pretty basic story: A man (Craig) wakes up in the middle of nowhere, not knowing who he is or how he got there, but with a strange mechanical device on his wrist. It kills beats / some bad guys who come to us moments after he comes, takes one of her horses and dogs, and walks to the nearby town - where he just happened to know the position, despite the fact that he has amnesia. There he had an altercation with the son of the wealthiest citizens of the city (a breeder Dolarhyde colonel, played by Ford), has a drink in a bar and meets a strange, beautiful woman (Olivia Wilde), which acts as a she knows him, gets in jail by the sheriff (Keith Carradine) transported a wanted criminal because he named Jake Lonergan, then bam! Attack by aliens.
The enemies are forced to team after some of the people in the city are lassoed and taken to alien spacecraft. The secrets are revealed, identities are made known, is Olivia Wilde naked, and the Indians into the picture, because without a Western stereotype of the Indians would be?
Is all the time, frowned Ford, bad deeds and shows Dolarhyde, yes, a jerk, but who really loves his son is not good (played by Paul Dano), he has for him. Craig takes over the action scenes as Bond actor Pro / James, but is not really given anything interesting to say or do - except at the point of her bracelet abroad.
The change in the rules (foreigners do not do well in the sun and in the big fight scene, there is no significant effect of the sun), the action scenes a little exciting, but not next to Thor was in the summer or below budgeted Super 8, and the Continuity is turned off (to destroy the aliens in the city, but it seems very good when we are in later scenes, with only minor alterations in the return process). And why the aliens are here on our planet is a big disappointment. Their actions - yes, they are special, but fortunately not in the normal foreign-sounding location - do not add up. They kidnap the country, how best to kill our experiment, but then all you need is basically a blow or a bite, and we are dead, so why all the abductions and probing?

In addition, it would be at least one character that really helped connect with the audience during the movie, and although Craig Jake Lonergan said to be the guy, the script never allows us the opportunity to really behind this Pistolero, exotic fighting bad guys on a mission to destroy the Space Invaders. Cowboys and Aliens is a terrific opportunity, but that's where the fun begins and ends. Cowboys and Aliens is just boring. Yes, there are attacks by aliens. Yes, there are a few decent action scenes (but not spectacular). But with a title like Cowboys and Aliens, you expect a wild romp through the Wild West with interesting, colorful characters the way, and it is far from what comes here.
