Tom Cruise Confirmed for One Shot Movie

Tom Cruise has signed to play Jack Reacher in Christopher McQuarrie One Shot Productions at Paramount Pictures and SkyDance. Filming will begin in early fall.

Hollywood Movies Review - The project is based on a series of novels written by Lee Child, the focus on Reacher. "One Shot" is the ninth book in the series and is described as follows:

Six shots. Five dead. Heartland city in a state of terror thrown. But have resolved within a few hours the police: a slam-dunk case. Except for one thing. Man accused says: You have the wrong guy. Then he said: Make Reacher for me.

And of course, ex-military investigator Jack Reacher is coming. He knows the shooter a sniper trained soldiers who should never have missed a shot. Reacher is something that is not right, and soon the slam-dunk case explodes.
