A young man is cradled by two displays of her father: he has terminal cancer and he has a lover boy. I could see the premiere of beginners Toronto International Film Festival this weekend, and he completely surprised.
He was a bit of a last-minute choice, and it was my favorite movie for now, and probably one of my favorite movies ever. Simply put, I will only say that this film about the life and emotions and experiences we all go through the process. Christopher Plummer plays a man 75 years after the death of his wife has finally discovered his homosexuality, and we see life through this experience. It is played not only him, but above all, his son Ewan McGregor, relations with his mother and father form as a person. These relationships and their romantic relationships are the heart of his character, and it is through love, loss and discovery that display the three main characters true vision of humanity. This is an original film, and requires a specific audience, but I recommend that everyone should see this gem.
